How to Make a Gift

You have several options for making a charitable contribution to a fund or program that aligns with your interests. Please refer to the following sections for further information and instructions. To explore the available giving opportunities, please visit the Giving Options section.

Complete the online Donation Form below and provide your payment information.

Please note: We can only accept online donations through Visa, Mastercard, and Diners Club. The limit for credit card donations online is $30,000. It is preferable that large donations be made by check or wire so no credit card merchant fees are incurred.

Due to third-party merchant processing fees for credit card transactions, the amount added to your donor advised fund (or to another fund you select) will be reduced by any fees charged. The base fee charged is 4.2020%, but can be higher depending on the type of credit card and the card program.

Giving cryptocurrency can be a tax-efficient way to open or add to a Donor Advised Fund or to make a gift to the San Francisco Foundation. Through the Giving Block online platform, the foundation can accept more than 80 different cryptocurrencies. Learn more about the Giving Block.

The African American Initiative (AAI) Scholarship provides scholarships to African American students that have been admitted to UC Berkeley as incoming freshmen to help make their Cal education more accessible.

Support the foundation’s Artistic Hubs Cohort to support arts organizations that advance racial and economic equity and serve as cultural anchors for underserved communities.

The Ballet Endowment of Northern California harnesses the transformative power of ballet as an art form to enrich the lives of individuals and communities. Our mission is to promote accessibility, inclusivity, and empowerment through the medium of dance.

Support the foundation’s Bay Area Leads Fund and our increased civic leadership activities and strategic initiatives required to address some of the most intractable issues in the region.

The Black Harvest Fund invests in non-profits that advance the work of Black farmers and farmers of color.

The Black Wellness Fund invests in organizations that address issues of mental health, economic development, and education for African American residents in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Charlotte Mailliard Shultz Fund for the Arts has been established to honor the life of Charlotte Mailliard Shultz. It will be used to support arts and cultural organizations in the City of San Francisco.

Cota Capital set up the Cota Impact Fund as a way for the Cota community to give back and operationalize its core values and drive positive change in local communities and beyond. Cota is committed to being an outstanding partner to the social change efforts it champions. Cota Capital’s philanthropic efforts include grants to the International Red Cross, UNICEF, World Central Kitchen, American Legacy Fund, the Conard House, the Oakland Black Business Fund, and the San Francisco Public Library.

Give to your own existing Donor Advised Fund (DAF) at the San Francisco Foundation or a friend’s Donor Advised Fund. Include the name of the fund on the form above.

This fund has been established to honor the life of Francesca Ginocchio. It will be used to support organizations that help student pursue higher education, and other causes that were important to Francesca.

The Isaac Zimmern Memorial Fund has been established to honor the life of Isaac Zimmern. It will be used to support organizations and causes that were important to Isaac.

The John Stewart Company (JSCo) develops and manages low-income and homeless housing throughout California. JSCo established the Opportunity Fund to provide academic and vocational scholarships to low-income residents seeking to improve their lives, and past recipients have gone on to become doctors, nurses, lawyers, firefighters, social workers and many other worthy professions and vocations.

The Justice William Newsom Fund supports nonprofit organizations and social causes that were important to Justice Newsom, all surrounding the environment.

The Kathleen Azevedo Memorial Fund has been established in memory of Kathleen Azevedo Feinblum. It will be used to support nonprofit organizations and causes that were important to Kathleen and her husband, Lewis.

Support the foundation’s Rapid Response Fund for Movement Building that promotes civil rights and builds the political power and voice of low-income communities, immigrants and people of color, by providing resources in a timely manner to unanticipated, but critical opportunities and challenges to advance racial and economic equity in the Bay Area.

The Richard Armstrong Memorial Fund has been established to honor the life of Rich Armstrong. It will be used to support organizations important to him, including Wilcox High School Music Department, Vanguard Music and Performing Arts, Brass Memorial Scholarship, and Waldorf School of the Peninsula, Music Program.

The SFF Black Excellence Scholarship for SF State provides scholarships to SF State students who identify as Black and who demonstrate financial need. The program aims to give students a fair chance to complete their studies and contribute their talents to an inclusive, thriving Bay Area.

Support the San Francisco Foundation Grantmaking Programs that are committed to expanding opportunity in the Bay Area and work to advance racial equity and economic inclusion in the region.

On February 21, 1921, seven courageous collegiates chartered Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Kappa Chapter, at UC Berkeley. In honor of Kappa Chapter’s centennial, Vivian Osborne Marsh, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, Kappa Chapter is raising $250,000 to create an endowed scholarship for African American students at Cal.

The Womxn of Color, Womxn of Power is a program that helps womxn of color fill leadership positions, and create a more inclusive Bay Area.

Facility Rental Sponsorship

The WardBoy Project accepts facility rental at the height of guarantor/event sponsorship. All facility rental sponsorships will receive their logo placed on all marketing material.

Food/ Beverage Sponsorship

The WardBoy Project accepts food/beverage sponsorship at the height of general supporter. All food/beverage-catering sponsorships will be recognized for support at the camp.

Equipment Rental Sponsorship

The WardBoy Project accepts equipment rental sponsorship also at the height of general sponsorship. All equipment rental sponsorship will be recognized at the camp and company logo will be displayed on WardBoy Project marketing materials.

*Material sponsorships, donations, or contributions that exceed its category height in dollar value will be upgraded to a higher level of sponsorship/contribution.
